Burton fought back from a two goal deficit to come away from Cheltenham with a 2 – 2 draw.
Jamie Cureton put Cheltenham in front, pouncing from close range but the striker injured himself in the process and was stretchered off immediately after.
Byron Harrison doubled the lead with a nice finish into the bottom corner.
Russ Penn handled in the area and Brewers legend Billy Kee calmly converted his spot kick.
Rory Delap, making his Burton debut ensured that Burton left Cheltenham with a share of the spoils.
