Burton recorded their first win of the league campaign with a 1 – 0 home victory over Rochdale.
An Oliver Lancashire own goal decided this one with Rochdale playing 83 minutes with 10 men.
Peter Cavanagh was sent off for the visitors with a high challenge on Robbie Weir. Burton however struggled to get on top of the ten men which is a worrying sign.
Burton took the lead just before half time when Lancashire poked Billy Kee`s pass into his own goal.
It was hard look on Rochdale who defended well throughout and were still able to keep possession well despite being a man down.
Burton did however create the slightly better chances and got the win and the three points on the board is all that really matters.
