Three goals from Greg Pearson, two from Steve Kabba and one from substitute Shaun Harrad saw Burton route Aldershot and secure the three points at home.
Aldershot sub John Grant scored early in the second half to bring the shots within three, but Steve Kabba scored five minutes later and take the wind out of the Aldershot sails.
To add further misery to their afternoon, captain Anthony Charles is sent off by the referee for professional foul on Jacques Maghoma.
