Lainton Extends Brewers Loan

Ahead of the league two meeting with Portsmouth on Tuesday night the loan extension of ‘keeper Rob Lainton was confirmed.

Lainton’s original loan spell from Bury expired at the weekend after the win over Oxford United but he’s had this loan extended until the end of the season.

Extending the 24-year-olds loan is good news for the Brewers, however Gary Rowett’s hopes of keeping him for the full term of the clubs season isn’t going to be the case if Burton require the play-offs.

His loan would only cover the first leg of the play-off finals should a place in the top three not secure automatic promotion.
