The FA Cup first round is always a special time, granted not a ‘special’ in many ways as the third round, but this is when the FA cup proper begins so we’ll certainly enjoy it.
At least we’ll hope to!
If Burton want to advance into the second round, and move that step closer to ‘one of the big boys’ in round three we know we’ll have to overcome Barnsley
The draw, made live on BBC2 on Monday night, saw us drawn against Barnsley with us facing an away game the weekend after next.
Victory and we have another FA Cup date in down the line, defeat and we know we’ll have a free weekend but we would sooner still be involved, with a chance of bringing in some extra funds!
We’ll get this weekend out of the way, focusing on our league form, which is of course our priority and bread and butter, but then ‘cup fever’ can take over….
