Mark Shelton has been allowed to leave Burton by Nigel Clough with him going to Northern Premier League Division One South side Loughborough Dynamo on loan.

Shelton is a promising up and coming youngster at the Pirelli Stadium but his need for regular first-team football, to benefit this development, will see him end the season with Loughborough.

His loan could see him make his debut at the weekend against Spalding United with this a move he told the Official Website he’s looking forward to being hopeful it’ll see him return a better player ready to force his way into Clough’s first-team plans.

‘It’s a great move for myself to go and get some games at a great club. It can only improve me as a player so i’ll come back stronger and hopefully challenge for the first team.’

The midfielder, who can also play in defence, signed his first professional contract with Burton in the summer having been an unused sub last season.
