Burton Albion are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Tom Naylor in the three nil victory over Sheffield Wednesday on New Year’s Day at Hillsborough was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Naylor was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Naylor`s finish added the final touches to a fantastic afternoon for the Brewers at Sheffield Wednesday. The Hillsborough crowd watched Nigel Clough`s visitors sweep aside the Owls 3-0, with the 26-year-old delivering a superb all-round display.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Naylor for his recognition, but the most important thing about the game was of course the points.
