Burton Albion are represented in the latest League Cup team of the round that has been selected after the round two action last midweek.

The performance by Ben Fox in the two one victory over Cardiff City last midweek was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the League Cup competition.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Fox was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the EFL.com blurb read.

‘Fox enjoyed a night to cherish as he scored his first professional goal, helping Burton past a Cardiff City side who have won every match of the 2017/18 season so far. The midfielder’s delivery led to the Brewers’ first on the night, before heading home what proved to be the match-winning goal with 20 minutes remaining.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Fox for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
