Goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin is one of fiver players being released by the club.
McLaughlin is out of contract in the summer played over 130 games for the club since signing in 2014.
In addition to McLaughlin, Burton have announced that Lee Williamson, Phil Edwards, Callum Reilly and Charlie Gatter will also be leaving this summer.
Sky sports have also reported that the Brewers will be taking up the one year options on Marcus Dinanga, Marcus Harness and Sam Hornby.
