It`s the time of the year when under the quaintly named Football Agents Regulation G15, clubs are obliged to confirm to the world the amount they spent on the services of agents during the period 1st October 2010 to 30th September 2011.

For Burton Albion the amount announced on the official club website was the sum of £4,355.

Now I don`t know about you, but I`m certainly not going to begrudge that amount considering the calibre of the players that have come into the club during this twelve-month period. Richards, Zola, Kee and Taylor to name but a few on permanent deals, and the loans of people like Sam Winnall, James Collins and Scott Malone all cost money and I personally think the club has got itself a good return.

I know it is fashionable in football to knock the owners and management teams at clubs, but I think that the supporters of Burton Albion can sit back and be content in the knowledge that the club is in extremely good hands. The stadium, the staff and, now, the squad are all to be admired and that is the reason the Brewers find themselves sat in fifth place going into this free weekend. There are supporters of clubs much further up the footballing ladder that would be happy to swap with us, trading their higher division for our security.

It`s actually a pretty good time to be a Burton Albion supporter when you come to think about it.
