Burton are in talks with centre back Rob Edwards who was recently released from Championship side Barnsley.
Burton are looking for defensive reinforcements for next season and see Edwards as the ideal man for the job.
Edwards only played 18 times in two seasons at Barnsley but showed that he is a class act at this level when on loan at Fleetwood last season.
He could be the signing we need to elevate us in to the top three.
