If the first half was 45 minutes that Northampton will soon want to forget. The first 11 minutes was even worse.
It all started with a complete blunder by goal keeper Chris Dunn which allowed Shaun Harrad to walk in and tap home the first goal.
The Cobblers defensive comedy routine continued as five minutes they failed to clear crosses from Paul Boertien and Jimmy Phillips and Michael Simpson was able to get his miss hit shot under Dunn.
It got worse for Northampton as five minutes later Simpson scored a second goal to give the Brewers a 3 goal lead and the three points, or was it?
As half time approached, Northampton manager Stuart Gray made two changes as the away fans began to chant ‘You don’t know what your doing.’
The second half started with some booes from the away end, but they soon became cheers as it was Northampton who was the better team.
Steve Guinan scored from close range, then a Billy McKay goal from the spot brought them within one.
The Brewers were able to hold on and notch a second home victory to their campaign.
