Burton Albion have only 21 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Championship.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Burton Albion find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in 19th place in the Championship table and only four points above Blackburn Rovers who occupy the first relegation spot, clearly there’s work to be done between now and the end of our first ever second tier campaign.

With only one loss in the last eight league games though, whilst a few more wins in the next couple of matches would certainly make the season run in easier on the eye, Burton are in steady form and taking points from more matches than they don’t and that should keep, if not grow that gap, in any event.

With a tough midweek clash against Newcastle next up though, for now that has to be the priority and we’ll see how the table looks after tonight’s fixtures.

With 21 points to play for it is a tough run in though, but avoiding the drop is more than doable at this stage and that is the only aim.
