Burton Albion have only 18 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Championship.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Burton Albion find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in 19th place in the Championship table on 44 points and only four points above Blackburn Rovers who occupy the first relegation spot, clearly there’s work to be done between now and the end of our first ever second tier campaign.

A few more wins in the next couple of matches would certainly make the season run in easier on the eye, but having lost to Newcastle in the last one and with the teams we face, simple draws should be the minimal aim now and it should grow that gap or at least maintain it.

With in form Aston Villa next up though, for now that has to be the priority and we’ll see how the table looks afterwards.

With 18 points to play for it is a tough run in though, but avoiding the drop is more than doable at this stage and that is the only aim.
