Burton Albion have only 15 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Championship.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Burton Albion find themselves heading towards the end of May, sitting in 20th place in the Championship table on 45 points and only five points above Blackburn Rovers who occupy the first relegation spot, clearly there’s work to be done between now and the end of our first ever second tier campaign.

A few more wins in the next couple of matches would certainly make the season run in easier on the eye, at this stage a victory over Ipswich would make everyone breath easier, but even a run of draws with Blackburn unable to win would be enough for now.

15 points are enough to end the season strongly but it’s a tough run in and we just have to take it game by game as avoiding the drop is more than doable at this stage and that is the only aim.

Run In:

Burton Albion v Ipswich Town – Fri 14 Apr – 19:45
Birmingham City v Burton Albion – Mon 17 Apr – 15:00
Burton Albion v Leeds United – Sat 22 Apr – 15:00
Barnsley v Burton Albion – Sat 29 Apr – 15:00
Burton Albion v Reading – Sun 7 May – 12:00
